This is the book written by Lee and Bob Woodruff, chronicling Bob's devastating blast injuries in Iraq and his subsequent recovery. They also write about some of their own personal and professional histories leading up to Bob's injuries, which I really enjoyed. One thing that I kept thinking throughout the entire book, was how similar their life was to a medical family's. Bob was always struggling with how to balance his professional aspirations with his family life, away for weeks and months at a time while Lee managed as the single mother of 4 children, he could be called away at a moment's notice when there was breaking news somewhere to report, they moved countless times for his career... Very interesting parallels!
I really enjoyed this book, it was well-written and definitely kept my interest. I'd highly recommend reading it.
