  • A Mighty Heart

I've been reading voraciously over the past 2 weeks, and plowed through this in 3 days.

Part of me had no interest in reading it, b/c as with "Titanic", we knew the doomed ending. But I'm glad I did. Mariane Pearl's story, the tales of her husband (who sounded like a dear, sweet man), and the story of so many different "kinds" of people coming together at such an unlikely time and place for the same goal was inspiring.

I just finished this book and enjoyed it as well. I'll admit that my brain glazed over during some parts where she talks about all the different individuals and terrorist groups and their relationships and how they were all involved. It was all a bit complicated for my wee little brain. Anyway, I did overall really like this book. I enjoyed reading about her relationship with her husband and how she describes the kind of man he was. I remember being so moved when I heard what had happened to him, and I found myself in tears during parts of this book as well.
