  • I hate reading...

... books/articles/archival materials for my dissertation, and I want to read something else for a change!!!

Dh says that I should go to bed earlier and read something not related to my dissertation for 30 minutes before turning out the light. And that I shouldn't worry about how long it takes me to finish books...

Any ideas for good novels that won't stress me out? :> Light reads, in other words.

I just finished a great book of short stories. It's called Valentines and is by an Icelandic writer, Olaf Olafsson. There are 12 stories, one for each month and they're all about various problems in marriages. But they're not gloomy at all and are extremely insightful.

Of course chick lit is another good option.

Olaf Olafsson - love the name! I'm going to pick this up today.

I hope you like it as much as I did. I can't wait to read his other work.

          I'm mad at you, Vishenka.

I'm mad that you didn't mention this book earlier.
I am almost done with it, and can't put it down! I love Olafsson's style of writing. Subject verb object. It's great!

I'm sorry but I just discovered him last week. Isn't he great though?
