    The Mercy of Thin Air

    Has anyone read this? My neighborhood book club *raved* about this title and I'm kind of like :huh: . Amongst a few subplots, this book is essentially about a woman in a love affair who drowns early in life and spends the next century as a ghost. Parts of the prose are achingly beautiful. Still, I found my mind wandering at times. Since it seems like I'm the odd woman out on this one, I wonder if anyone else feels this way about this book.

    ITA, it kind of reminded me of parts of that cheesy movie "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze.
