By James Patterson
It's young adult Sci/Fic.
I liked it and will read the next two (it's a series).
It's exciting and different. The main character is a girl but there is a boy in it who is crucial to the plot.
I would have LOVED it as a youngster.
The kids (ranging from 6-14) take on the world -- specifically the evil scientists who turn them into mutants. The kids (there are 6 total) each have special powers and they all have wings. They can fly and have superhuman strength. They were raised in a lab and escaped.
There is no swearing or sex, and there is just one kiss. It reads like an action movie so there IS violence. They are constantly in trouble and while they try and run, they have no choice but to fight. There is blood and broken bones on occasion.
I'm thinking it would be okay for a child as young as 7?? That's a guess though. I have a 5 year old.
