I think the subtitle pretty much sums up what the book is about: One Man's Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible. (This is the same author who read the entire Encyclopedia Britannica and wrote The Know-It-All.)
Anyway, I really enjoyed this book. I don't consider myself to be particularly religious, but I liked reading about his exploration into all of the different variations of Christianity (Amish, fundamentalists, etc.) and Judaism. And some of his attempts at abiding by all of the Bible's commandments are hilarious (example: the Bible commands that men can't sit on a seat where a menstruating woman had sat, so one day while his wife has her period, she goes and sits on every chair in their house so he has no place to sit ). I thought the book was very funny and interesting, definitely worth reading.
