  • The Last Lecture, by Randy Pausch

Has anyone else read this? Randy Pausch is the computer science engineer from Carnegie Mellon (and father of 3 young kids) who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and only has a short time to live. He gave a "last lecture" about achieving your childhood dreams (and intends to leave the video for his kids as a way for them to remember him), I saw a portion of his talk on Oprah a few months ago. I'm only on page 15, but I can't get through more than a couple of paragraphs at a time without tearing up.

I just finished this last night. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and made it through the chapter on Jai (where he takes his son to see Mr. Magorium). I had to stop there because I couldn't stop sobbing. I was finally able to pick it up again last night and...through many tears...finished it. Incredibly inspiring....Randy had life figured out.
