So good. And a very easy read- it goes fast. I am not sure I want to see the movie anymore- I can deal with violent scenes in a book, but not as much in a movie.

Anyways, it is written in narrative form by a young girl who is pregnant with her second child by her father. She is abused by her family in any way possible and totally failed by the school system but the book really focuses on her dreams of success and how she reaches for that success.

The book club section used to be so popular-it is where I got my ideas for books- what happened?

That sounds interesting. Not usually the kind of book I read, but I think I'll check it out! Thanks!

The movie has gotten such great reviews, it's top of my list right now--good to know the book is a quick read, too!
