No, this is not a manual

I enjoyed this light and speedy read by Jennifer Weiner. The book is about (and narrated by) plus-sized Cannie, a late 20's journalist in Philadelphia. She has recently split with her boyfriend and not much later finds that he is writing a column "Good in Bed" in a Cosmopolitan-ish women's magazine. Of course, the articles are about her -- the first is titled "Loving a Larger Woman". So starts her journey of seeing herself in a different light. The novel is very light and humorous. It is also quick -- I read it in about 3 days.
My one *big* gripe with this book is that it didn't seem to make it past a copy editor before being printed. Ok, I'm sure it did but it was full of mistakes. There were a few words missing, which I can forgive. I have a harder time forgiving things like dates/time frames that don't totally match up, inconsistencies in information throughout the book, etc. I don't want to say anything more specific for fear of ruining the plot for someone. Most people can probably overlook these things but to me they really stood out.
