  • I found a book today...(sort of)

have you guys ever heard about that thing where you read a book and then leave it somewhere for somebody else to find? There is a website where you can track the book that you find. We were coming out of jazzercise today and my friend spotted it first but wasn't really interested so she let me have it! I'm so excited--I've always wanted to find one of those books!

I've never heard of this...how do you track it?

There is a website called bookcrossing.com. I just went there and entered into the journal that I found the book and plan to read it and re-release it "into the wild". I'm only the second person to get this particular book. Each time someone finds the book, they are supposed to go to the website and enter a journal entry so that the book can be tracked. Also, you are supposed to review what you thought of the book.

        Bookcrossing.com

I saw this in the old posts. Has it caught on anywhere where you live? I'm starting to use it to get rid of some of my unwanted books before I move. I think it's fun, too- I found a book in an elevator.

What do you think of it?

I love the idea!! I've done a few "releases" but I haven't ever found any. Nor has anyone reviewed my books yet. Boo hoo. I hope sooner or later they will land in the hands of a kindred spirit.
