I don't make many book recs but I thought this one was a worthy read. It's a biography written by the seabiscuit author. It's about a WWII POW/former olympic hopeful. It'a a riveting account of WWII, survival, human suffering, the impotent reintegration of POWs post war, emancipation and redemption.

It's a good read...or listen in my case.

This is the book I've had downloaded on my Kindle for awhile and will be starting on the plane tomorrow. I like historical reads and it is good to know that someone read it and really liked it!

I would second the rec! DH is a stickler for nonfiction but I could read this too and I'm all about my fiction reads. Thumbs up!
