  • Match Day Book

We're in the midst of the fellowship match process and it's brought back many memories of the residency match. I came across this book that I hadn't seen before:
    http://www.amazon.com/Match-Day-Dram.../dp/0312377843

I downloaded it to Kindle last night and read it mostly in one sitting. The guy who wrote it is a journalist and the spouse of a resident, so the book ended up being a mixture factual details and personal stories. It focuses on the Match process and internship year, and the effect they had on three graduating female med students and their SOs. Definitely a very interesting and quick read - I highly recommend it.

Awesome! We'll have to add it to the library here!

Is there a library here in the forum? Or --oh wait, did you mean at your own house??

Had to laugh at the one-star reviewer who said that the description of the SO of the resident wanting to throw the resident's pager in the toilet was just 'over-the-top disrespectful of medicine' Yeah..that NEVER happens....because we all know that all SOs of dawkters may as well be living in Stepford... *eyeroll*
