  • A question SueC?? (or anyone else)

    Hi,

I see you do alot of book reviews and just wondering if you could recommend anything to me. When I was home in the US I bought Janet Evanovichs latest book. I like them but I feel like they are candy, you know I don't absorb much from them just gobble them up and in the end I just lost $22.99. Brand new titles are hard for me to get over here (through the library), it usually takes a year or so before they are in circulation so if there is anything you could recommend me I would appreciate it.

    Thanks alot!

    Kristen-

Try buying on http://www.half.com- you can get new books for mere dollars (or euros, as the case may be!

I buy a LOT of book that way, and then sell them when I'm finished.

      Hi Kristen,
I think I'll try Jennifer's suggestion. I have to confess my sister buys most of the books I read and sends them to me when she is finished with them. From there I pass them to my mom, who passes them to my other sister. We sort of have our own little book club going, which is a heckuva lot cheaper. I know how you feel about spending $20 on a book that you're really only going to read once and in my case, I read them so quickly, I'd be in the poorhouse if I had to constantly buy brand new books.
