    What are you reading now?

    I've been on a reading binge since the New Year.

    I just finished Minsight by Daniel Siegle (meh ... it got great reviews but I wasn't really blown away by it). I also discovered a writer who was a psychotherapist/sociologist named Lillian Rubin. I read "The Man with the Beautiful Voice....." and "Tangled Lives: Daughters, Mothers and the Crucible of Aging."

    I really like Lillian Rubin. She is a little arrogant about her abilities as a therapist in 'The Man with the Beautiful Voice..." but the book is engaging. I got the rest of her books for .01 online at the Amazon marketplace. I loved Tangled Lives simply because it's a really engaging story about her very troubled relationship with her mother and its impact on her life ... as well as the healthier relationship she has with her daughter.

    I've working on "Women of a Certain Age" (Lillian Rubin) now.....

    I'm finishing up the last ~20 pages of "Housekeeping" by Marilynne Robinson, which is beautifully written. I've pledged to read 90 books this year - one up from my final 2014 count. Among many others, I'm planning on re-reading Harry Potter 2-4 and then reading for the first time HP 5-7 (or are there 8?). I don't know why I never finished the series. I really enjoyed the first four, I just didn't stick with it.

    Just used my two Audible credits for "The Stand" by Stephen King and "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand.

      I finished Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah and started The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. Both are totally different and good!

        I'm in the middle of I am Pilgrim. Not really my usual genre (it's a spy thriller), but it's actually really, really good.

        I've also recently read (and loved) Shotgun Lovesongs and Whistling Past the Graveyard.

          I'm reading Hand to Mouth now. I couldn't put it down at first, but now I feel like she's repeating herself, so I just need to plow through and finish.

            Fit2Fat2Fit (written by a personal trainer who deliberately gained 75 pounds and his trip back to being fit), and some book about how to live your best year yet. (not particularly inspiring...)

              Finished I Am Pilgram by Terry Hayes over break. Great thriller spy thing. Now, The Book of Life, final one of the trilogy by Harkness.

                I just finished "11/22/63" by Stephen King. It was riveting. I was practically hysterical the whole time I was reading it and it's a long book.

                I recently read "The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry" for my book club. It was pleasant but I don't think there will be much to discuss. Before that, I read "Defending Jacob" by William Landary which was terrific. I wish the book club read that.

                I'm reading "What Alice Forgot" now for the book club. I've been surprised that it's actually got me thinking quite a lot.

                  Both my husband and I liked the Steven King book about the Kennedy assassination too! It was a little slow in the middle, but man - King can still write a thriller, can't he?

                      Agreed. I had a physical reaction to the card being black. Very well done.

                            Ooh, we cloth diapered! There used to be a lot of fluff discussions around here. Might be worth poking around some of the old infant posts.
