Very appropro for me--I liked this book. She spins what could be construed as "laziness" into good parenting skills. It's a quick, light-hearted read that I think just about any mom could identify with. In today's world of over-indulged kids, it was refreshing to read about a mom who makes do with what she has, doesn't cave in to her children's every desire, and follows her instinct and common sense to raise her 2 kids while juggling a career at the same time.

I loved this book until the end...when she became the 'unslacker mom' and got all into discipline etc. I've reread it a couple of times though and it never loses its charm.

I just finished this. (It is a quick and easy read...gratifying for those of us who are struggling to finish what they start). I enjoyed this book and felt gratitude for someone critiqueing the hyper-parenting that is expected in current times. (Although I'm just as guilty ast the next about buying into the new competitive childrearing techniques that ). we just have to do).

This isn't my favorite book about the hazards of modern day parenting but it certainly has its charm.
