  • Dont Lets Go to the Dogs Tonight

This book is about a Scottish girl whose family moves to Rhodesia during the civil war in the 1960s to farm. Her family stays as the country turns to majority rule ( and becomes Zimbabwe), their farm is given away, and they have to move to another African country. Her family goes through numerous tragedies but all the while she maintains a witty sense of humor.

It is a fabulous book. She has a sequel out now called Scribbling The Cat and I might get that one.

    The author is Alexandra Fuller.
    Mom to three wild women.

I read this book a couple of years ago....It was fantastic. I'll look for the sequel at the library.
