  • new book to recommend!

let me preface this suggestion by saying that this book is for a teen audience - but we can learn things from all sorts of books, can't we?

i picked it up when i was working in the bookstore last weekend and it was *phenomenal* - i read the entire book in two hours. it's titled "stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli. the overriding theme is conformity and how everyone in the world spends waaaay too much time trying to be like everyone else & worrying about what "they" think. "stargirl" comes to town and shakes their entire system to the core.

it's very good for a little reminder to NOT care what anyone else thinks - only the opinions of those who love you matter!

Thanks, I'm going to buy it for Caroline tomorrow. She is 16, or as she would say 17 in May!!!
