The Saving Graces--Patricia Gaffney

I decided that I was becoming too angered by some of my recent reads on social issues so I decided to read a fictional book about a topic near and dear to my heart--friendships amongst women. This book was recommended to me because I loved "The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood." While The Saving Graces is a good read that explores womens' relationships, it is not the calibur of book that Ya Ya is. The Saving Graces, however, is an entertaining read, albeit a tear jerker. The book is little confusing in the beginning because of the rotating narrators. Nonetheless, if you have a few hours, give it a try.

It's funny-- I just listened to this one on tape on my fdrive to see my friend in Ohio. I enjoyed it,though I thought it could've been about 1/2 as long and still been good. It was a great tale of friendship-- very heartwarming.
