    empire falls

    has anyone read this? I am reading it for my book club but I am not making too much progress.... I would appreciate some thoughts if anyone has read this.

    really liked empire falls

    I read it...and I loved it. I got really attached to the characters. Have you finished reading it (I'm replying to your post a couple weeks later as I just joined this message board).

      i finished it a week or two ago. it was good, but i didnt love it. i felt like miles was kind of a sad sack, he just took too much crap to be really likable. i am onto 'a tree grows in brooklyn' for the next book club selection- i am in brooklyn, so....

      i love to read if you have any suggestions!
