  • What books can you read over and over again?

Everyone has their favorites but what are your TRUE loves when it comes to novels/stories? What books have you read a minimum of 5 times?

I will keep mine to three (but I cheated on the last one) :

    The Power of One
    Trinity
...any "good" sci-fic/fantasy young adult like Madeline L'Engle, Harry Potters, C.S. Lewis' Narnia series, Tolkin....you get the picture.

Love Medicine comes to mind but there are a bunch of books that I moved only because I couldn't part with them. I haven't re-read all but do in my book vacation fantasy....
I have read To Kill a Mockingbird a bunch of times but not recently.

Little Women ( I think I've read that book about 8 times)
Frankenstein (totally agree with you on that one, Luanne)
The Lord of the Rings trilogy (my current copies are all falling apart from use)
              The Chronicles of Narnia
The Screwtape Letters (yeah, I've got a thing for C.S. Lewis)

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. I have the whole set.

Agatha Christie's mysteries, especially the Hercule Poirot stories.

Girl, Interrupted. (the book they based the Winona Ryder/Angelina Jolie movie on.) Extremely scary look at institutionalizaton and every time I think I'm getting jaded I re-read it.

Good grief, Luanne! You and I are completely on the same page with our recurrent reading material! I have read Dune about three times (although I've only gotten through the entire series once....).

Yeah, I haven't read several of these as well, but you've piqued my interest.

                      The Catcher in the Rye
                      The Great Gatsby
                      Little Women

                      The Color Purple
