  • Shopaholic books

I originally picked up Confessions of a Shopaholic as an entertaining read, and it really was. I could hardly put the book down! It is definitely not thought-provoking, but it is almost as much fun as going on a shopping spree yourself. Since then, I have also read Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, Shopaholic Ties the Knot and Shopaholic and Sister.

They are all enjoyable for a nice escape!!!! :@

Confessions is next on my list... I suppose I should just embrace the brain candy that it is.

Yes, they aren't mentally stimulating, but they are great for a nice, light read. I liked Sophie Kinsella's book "Can You Keep a Secret" even better than the Shopaholic series. The main character is fun and quirky and I was sucked into the story line immediately.

I also just finished "Can You Keep a Secret?" by her and thought it was a little less air-heady than the Shoppaholic series, which I've read as well. Isn't she coming out with "The UnDomestic Goddess" soon too?

I was in Costco the other day and there was a new one by Sophie Kinsella, maybe that was it. I so wanted to buy it, but it was only in hardback and I didn't want to shell out the $15.

I loved the whole series too. When DH saw me reading the first one, he said "So, someone wrote a book about you." I have to admit that Shopaholic Takes Manhattan was my favorite. Probably because I actually know all the stores in the book.
