I just finished last night. Although it took me a bit to get into it, I really enjoyed the book. It is a creative history of the 1893 Colombian Exposition (Worlds Fair) in Chicago. The book parallels two main characters, the architect in charge of the fair and a MD serial killer (much more on the architect) that used the fair as a backdrop. It was a very interesting snapshot of an event that has had a lasting impact on the US and a study of the depths of human determination. Sort of history nerdy

You can tell him to keep reading...it will get history cooler the closer they get to opening the fair. I almost approached the first ten chapters with an "it's good for me" attitude. Turns out it was good for me! I can't wait for a "free" weekend to take a trip to Chicago and check out the old fair grounds!!Gwen
