My reading choices lately have included Star magazine and Romance novels so I thought I'd better pick up one of the Important Books. I remember enjoying Dandelion Wine in high school so I thought I'd give this a try.
This book is as relevant today as when it was first published. Of course, the main theme is censorship but I couldn't help feeling a tad uncomfortable as Bradbury describes the milk white, vacuous faces of individuals who engage in no higher thought and only watch the tele. Oh, so does this mean I should put down the tabloids and turn off RockStar Supernova as part of my Patriotic duty to preserve free will and origianl thought?
Seriously, this is a thought provoking read that is highly enjoyable.
