    SO GOOD!

This movie is very strong and hits you hard. I wasn't quite prepared for it in the beginning, but I LOVED it. It's very powerful, and the acting was top notch.

And...I never thought I'd say this but...Leonardo DiCaprio looks just downright yummy in this movie.

    Loved the movie. LOVED IT.

There are some tough scenes -- but it's very well acted and the story is compelling.

    A great rent!!!!!! (or Netflix!)

I've wanted to watch this movie for so long but now I'm definitely getting it this weekend when DH has some free time.

Speaking of Leo, has he made ANY bad movies? I know that when Titanic came out everyone thought he was all looks and that he had no acting abilities, but just think of his movies. Gangs of New York, Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, and Blood Diamond.

If you grew up watching him in "Growing Pains" it's hard to get away from the "cheese ball" image he used to have.

Don't forget "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and "This Boy's Life." He was FANTASTIC in these.

"The Quick and the Dead" and "The Beach" were pretty pathetic however but you can't win em all!

Not that you've thought about it or anything, Flynn.

I loved this movie- including the score and cinematography. Makes me want to visit Mozambique, where it was filmed.

My favorite part was when Vandy (can't remember his real name) and Leo take off into the bush to look for the diamond, and the ensuing dialogue. The music was moving, the scenes beautiful, and the dialogue telling.

And, Mr. DiCaprio is one fine speciman of a man, if I may say so. I think I would be willing to part with my life savings (which isn't much ) for one night with the guy! But, only if he spoke with an Afrikaans accent

DOH!! Just realized his accent was colonial British, not Dutch. Whatever, he wouldn't even have to talk, really.

He was fantastic in "This Boy's Life." He held his own with Robert DeNiro. I was impressed.

                  Oh gawd - Growing Pains.

and let's not forget that he managed to pull off playing a child w/ MR in Whose Eating Gilbert Grape.

(and Johnny- of course he was fab)

                      Re: Blood Diamond

We've put off watching this movie. But finally we did it! And it was so worth it. I thought it was really great. I loved the story line, and the ending and everything was really perfect. (Perhaps the ending was a bit too predictable for me, but that's ok).

It's an intense movie, and the acting is really great...

Probably everyone's seen it by now, but if you haven't, go for it!

                          But Johnny is distracting...
