  • Friends with Money

Great movie, rented it for the second time last night. It's about 4 female friends who live in LA, and about how they deal with being in their 40's and with the concept of money. Great movie! Five stars.

I didn't get this. It felt like a piece from another movie with no beginning or end, just a middle piece. I'm totally confused, none of the characters made any sense to me.

Really? I loved it. It reminded me of another movie I really like, "Lovely and Amazing." I think this movie is less of a plot-centered movie than a character sketch kind of movie. It's showing the dynamics between couples and the dynamics between friends and how people assume things about each other than turn out to be wrong.

Didn't you just love the husband who everyone thought was gay? He and his wife had the most interesting relationship, in my opinion.

I thought that the relationships in the marriages and the dynamic between the friends were interesting, but to me both were without beginning or end. Not knowing how the people got there or ended up going to made no sense to me. I'm still confused as to why she wouldn't wash her hair and if she ever ended up washing it.

I think the hair thing was just to symbolize that she felt unattractive getting older--and she decided she didn't care what anyone else thought--if she didn't feel like washing her hair she wouldn't.
