This was a pretty good movie, I was completely engrossed in it up until ... the last 5 minutes. It's the story of an early-1900s era magician (brilliantly played by Ed Norton - my new fave! ) and his involvement in a love triangle. The entire movie was well-acted and very engaging, but I thought the ending was a little too tidy and the way it was done was a bit of a cop-out. It was worth the rental though, I'd give it 3.5 stars.

We saw this last night! We loved it and thought it was better than we expected. We were totally engrossed the entire time and it kept us guessing until the end! We were very surprised! I would recommend it for sure!

    4 stars!

      I thought it was okay.

Ed Norton is brilliant of course.
The new "IT" girl (forgot her name) does look amazing and actually does a nice job.

I liked the premise of the plot I didn't buy the ending. Too cleche.
It had potential but fell flat to me.

      Decent rental though.
Had I paid to see it in the theatre I'd have been annoyed.

I think the it girl is Jessica Biel you're talking about? I liked Edward Norton's acting in it, but also was kind of blah about the ending.

We thought it was good, but we liked "The Prestige" better, which is also a magician rivalry type movie.
