then I like to re-watch The Notebook. It's shameful how many times I've seen that movie!
This is one of my absolute favorites. I watched it for the first time on a night DH was on-call. Watching movies like this when he's on-call sometimes backfires, though cause I get all weepy and miss him like crazy.

I agree with the Netflix (or Blockbuster in my case) because I can't watch movies over. Although the BF isn't on call yet, I get them for weekends when I don't visit Cleveland.

I actually wanted to recommend this fascinating documentary I just saw called "Jesus Camp". It's basically about evangelical Christians and a summer camp that a "fundamentalist group" (their word, not mine), runs for their children. It's completely fascinating and actually relatively balanced. As a Christian who considers herself moderate in terms of politics, it was extremely interesting to see what more fundamentalist portions of my religion are doing.

Definitely worth putting on your list if you like that sort of thing!

My DH has limited patience with movies and will generally only watch well chosen comedies or the occasional action flick. Last night when he was on call I watched The Queen and Notes on a Scandel (love Cate Blanchett) and liked them both.
I rarely re-watch anything. My Netflix queue consists entirely of old ER series and the first series of Grey's Anatomy! I have about a years worth! Again, good for when DH is not around he can't stand medical shows

I just rewatched Shakespeare in Love after I put it on the Blockbuster list on a whim - I had forgotten how good that movie was!

Ditto. I don't usually watch movies again, but I did on this one.

50 First Dates. It's also only thing that can get me out of a funk 100% of the time.

Animal House. I have it memorized. It's not a call night movie but it's one that is 100% guaranteed to get me out of a funk.
