  • Bee Movie?

    Anyone seen it?

I heard it was harmless but not memorable. Very mediocre.
I'm curious if anyone here has seen it....

My 6 yr old and I saw it last weekend. It was cute, but like you said, mediocre. Some things my DD did not understand, but overall she liked it.

Anything questionable, scary, or not appropriate for kids?

I am so over the frickin' hype for this movie. We have a TiVo and don't even watch ads, and I've been hearing about the damn thing for almost a year (I think the first mention I saw was when Jerry Sienfeld was on an interview on the Daily Show...and sure enough, I just looked it up and that was one year ago this week).

No, it's actually the first Disney movie I have seen in a long time where noone dies. I think totally fine for all ages.

...and that's exactly what we did!

It was fine...not great but the matinee price was perfect.

                Re: Bee Movie?

We just got back from taking the girls to watch this at the dollar movies. As usual we're months behind the rest of America.

We loved it. There's was a bunch of great humor for the adults as well as the kids. I rarely buy movies but this one I may consider....

                  Re: Bee Movie?

The kids really liked this movie. They went on Thanksgiving day, when I was sick so didn't go, and then again over spring break on DVD. They really liked it. I enjoyed it too- of course it was over-hyped, but by now the hype is gone and so you can just watch the movie without being too jaded...

I do think it's a bit wierd and unnecessary when Hollywood has an animal (or bee) romantically interested in a human. That's just really not needed.

I did like the "Graduate" pool scene from the movie. That was hilarious, but I wonder how many people remember the Graduate...
