My bf and I went to see Punch-Drunk Love this past weekend and we both really liked it. It's different and I've heard that some people were put off by it b/c it was "weird." I thought the story was awesome (essentially the Adam Sandler's character has relationship issues and then meets Emily Watson's character and the romantic journey begins)...and Adam Sandler was really great. The film was well done also. It was a good date movie for us 
The movie was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson...from Magnolia and Boogie Nights.
We watched the Sum of All Fears yesterday and we both liked it as well. It's an action-packed, political thriller with a good plot. Rent it if you're into that genre of film.
