Darling movie with a great message. My opinion of this is somewhat swayed by the fact that I enjoyed watching my kids watch this movie. There was a lot of giggling. DS has read the junior novelization twice, put the poster up in his room, and told his Karate instructor that he's ready for some pandemonium.

These previews annoy me *so much*. What was it like? Was it as annoying as "Madagascar" or the other one where the animals break out of Central Park Zoo?? That's the vibe I got from the previews...

We saw it. It's cute. The kids LOVED it. I found it to be a good movie that falls short of the Disney Pixar movies -- but those are hard to match. There is no potty humor or any humor that stretches what I think is appropriate for young children (like Shrek does).

I liked the message -- we've talked about having faith in yourself and working hard for a goal a great deal since the movie. DD was tickled she got the "meaning" of the Dragon Scroll -- and that there is no secret ingredient.

DS LOVED all the "cool moves" and Kung Fu training.

I especially liked that it's a gender neutral movie. DD liked it just as much as DS and the two female Kung Fu heroes were JUST as good as their male counterparts.

dh took the boys to this today, and it was a HUGE hit. Quinn came running in the house yelling "It was GREAT! I laughed so hard I cried a little!"

I was worried about potty humor, but the boys have been their normal selves this afternoon, so I think it was okay.

Everyone loved it. I was worried about the fighting, but it was very kid friendly fighting.
