  • the Darjeerling Limited

Completely bizarre movie- in a good way. It's the story of three brothers and their journey across India in search of 'something'.

It's kind of a comedy but not really. It's got this really trippy vibe to it. I liked it and thought it was very good but it's definitely not for everyone. It seems like a foreign film but it's not.

    Owen Wilson was great, though.

We thought this movie was okay. Not great, but not awful either.

I get that it's supposed to be quirky, but so much of it seemed so random and a lot of it just didn't make sense to me. DH thought it was a "typical Wes Anderson" movie, so I guess if you like Wes Anderson ... you might like this one.

DH and I enjoyed it but we also like the quirky humor of Wes Anderson. Owen Wilson is really funny without having to do overt slap stick comedy bit that he does in some other films.

I heard the Wes Anderson & Jason Schwartzman interview on Fresh Air and really wanted to see this film.
I will add it to my must see list!

I greatly enjoyed The Darjeeling Limited and would definitely recommend it. I suppose I didn't find it quite as good as The Royal Tenenbaums but, if you ask me, that's Wes Anderson's magnum opus and I don't think he'll ever make a film quite that good again.
