First and foremost, this movie is all about cute -- how could it not be with the cast and the puppy and dog? I took DD1&2 to this and we liked it. Much like the labrador breed, the movie doesn't pretend to be something it's not. The movie follows the dog's life and the end of the movie is the end for Marley. DD1 and I were both in tears by the end. With our aging lab, it hits a little close to home. I think this movie was ok for the kids, more went over Anna's head than Bryn's, but I swear they said "sexy" at least 20 times. Tales of Despereaux is probably a better bet for kids (though would be too scary for my almost 5 yo).

Re: Marley and Me
I agree, although this movie is PG, it isn't necessarily a kid topic. (Safe to take the kids to, but know that it will only entertain you.)
My mom and I enjoyed this movie a lot. Heck, I've had a lot of the EXACT same conversations that this couple has had through the years. This isn't a dog movie. It is a movie about life built around a dog.
KellyIn my dreams I run with the Kenyans.
