  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I saw this last night with Dh. It was a good movie, but very, very sad. This movie got to me in a way that no other movie has. It is about a man who ages backwards. He is raised by an adoptive mother who works in an assisted living/nursing-type home. Being raised in an environment with aged people where death is common, the protagonist, Benjamin Button, takes a close look at youth, aging and death.

I think this movie affected me the way it did because I have kids, in particular a son. I kept thinking about my kids during the movie. I haven't cried at movie like I did at this one. It was a good movie and I'm glad I saw it. But, I found it difficult to watch. This is one of those movies that you think about long after it's over.

I also loved this movie. My husband and I watched it on our honeymoon, and then happened to go where some of the scenes had been shot during our trip! That was neat.

I also really enjoyed the movie and didn't find it long at all, I was totally enthralled and very saddened at seeing so much death and having it being presented the way that it was. I enjoyed all of Brad Pitt's adventures and thought the film was beautiful. I think my husband enjoyed it too but he is much more critical while I am instantly absorbed in anything I'm watching! He found it a little over the top for sure but it definitely had me in tears!

We got out today for our once-every-two-year movie date and saw this one. A real weeper - I keep feeling like I should snuggle my kids all night and not complain when they're up at 3 AM.
