  • Thirteen Conversations About One Thing

This one was very well done, well acted, and very smart. Is the "one thing" happiness, or karma, or fate, or...? I've been thinking about it since I saw it. It's the story of several people's lives intersecting in New York. Alan Arkin is particularly great as a bitter insurance executive. Interesting sequencing that rivals Memento--one character's story is all flashback, another's goes forward from where that one ends, and several other characters go both forward and back. Definitely needs a second viewing. I keep thinking about the Physics professor talking about entropy--that when one thing has been affected by something else, it can never go back to its original state. Sounds like my life...

We finally watched this movie and it was really good. I wasn't sure wether Rick would like it or not but he said he enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was extremely well-thought out and it comes together very nicely. Alan Arkin is the person I hope to never become!

      I wouldhighly recommend this movie.
