I am not a scary movie kind of person at all but this movie was GOOD. I loved the style it was filmed in. Also amazing was that this was the first gig for both the director and the star. I only agreed to see it bc it got really good reviews, and I would have to concur.

Yeah, my husband saw it by himself over the weekend and said it was one of the best movies he's seen in the past few years. Then he wouldn't stop telling me about it.

I saw it last weekend and loved it. There are some neat special effects, but since it was pretty low-budget, the main draw of the movie is the acting. You'll be amazed at the changes the main character portrays from who he was in the beginning to who he becomes in the end. They will most likely make a sequel to it, and it should be really good. The ending left a good storyline opportunity that wouldn't just be re-making the original (like too many sequels tend to do).

Late chiming in here. We saw this a couple of weeks ago. DH absolutely loved it and wanted to see it again

I've got to say I was a little disappointed after all the "It's the best movie all year!" reviews. I enjoyed it and I'm impressed that they did it on such a low budget but...I think it was because I haven't seen a good alien flick in years and this had aliens but they were living in South Africa. I was expecting some outer space.
