    I tried searching for a previous thread on this movie since it's kinda old, but I couldn't find anything on it.

    I just saw this yesterday (thank you free HBO preview) and I thought it was a cute movie. It was pretty similar to the book, especially in the way that it made me BAWL my eyes out! Why did I torture myself?

    Cannot read nor watch anything where the pup dies. . Did hear it was a great little story.

      I watched this knowing nothing about the story. I thought it couldn't possibly be a serious movie. By the end I was SOBBING. It was a much better movie than I anticipated it being, but I wish I had been prepared for the absolute saddness. Same with Up! I loved it, but I was crying so hard in the first 10 minutes!
