  • Eat Drink Man Woman

This is a 1990's Foreign Flick (Taiwan) about three daughters and their father. The daughters are all adults (one is in school) and it's basically about how they deal w/ their needs (jobs, where to live, etc.) and their father's demands.

It's really good- the big part about the movie is Sunday Dinner and the father is a professional chef. Let me tell you, the food scenes (and there are a LOT) aren't something you should watch if 1) you're a all hungry or 2) have a Chinese place that delivers. If I HAD a Chinese place that delivered, I'd be stuffing my face!

Really good, if you like foreign movies.

I'll add to this the movie "Tortilla Soup". Also about daughters, a Chef Father, and growing up!!!!

Tortilla Soup "copied" Eat Drink Man Woman. I love this movie!!! It is one of my all time favorites. It's hilarious and the food is amazing. If you like foreign films, Raise the Red Lantern is good as well. Depressing but good.
