Mary Poppins was a HUGE hit in our house. If your daughter is enjoying Annie I'll bet that she will love Mary Poppins.
Bryn also loves Babe and Stuart Little. (I have a soft spot for Babe, myself).

We like those too--our girls must have similar taste in movies!

Maybe I'm bad but I actually like SpongeBob Squarepants. I don't make it a point to watch it but the couple of times it was on and I saw the whole episode I actually cried I laughed so hard.

My kids don't watch Rugrats and have no desire to see the movies. They have always been big fans of the Land Before Time series which I like. The only beef, if you can call it that, I have with Disney movies is the fact that it always seems like one or both parents are deceased, killed, or nonexistent. But as a whole I don't worry too much about the movies thwarting my kids' morals that much. Maybe I'm being naive but I believe how we behave and raise them on a day to day basis has a much greater impact than a 90 minute flick. That's not to say I let them watch Rambo or Debbie Does Dallas but I think pointing out "bad" things about the movies (especially children's movies) is worse then just letting them watch it from a kid's point of view. Unless of course you are all watching it as a family and then pointing out bad behavior or choices, which I think it actually good for the children to recognize. As adults I think we tend to see it differently than the kids do.

My kids enjoy the Pokemon series and I've read all kinds of satanic cult stuff that's underlying the cartoons. I think it's absolutely hogwash. I think in our attempt to try to protect our children sometimes we go overboard and make ourselves look ridiculous. I remember when Little Red Riding Hood was banned in some schools because she had a bottle of wine in her basket. Give me a break! It's one thing to protect their innocence but it's something else to wrap them in some bubble like they're never going to be exposed to it in their lives. I'd much rather let them see it while under my influence than to go off to someone else's home or sneak it because it wasn't allowed in ours. I'm talking about your run-of-the-mill Disney movies only, of course.
