We saw this over the weekend and both really liked it. It was much more of a 'family' movie than we'd expected (PG-13), but still very funny and enjoyable. There were a ton of kids in the theater, so it's definitely a movie you can see with (or without) your kids. Jack Black is hilarious, and the kids are great. I read that the kids are actually musicians that they recruited for this movie, because I guess it's easier to teach a musician to act than to teach an actor to play music.

Saw this a few weeks ago...
Thought it was hilarious. Jack Black is, well, Jack Black and this movie is a good vehicle for him.
And I always like Joan Cusack. And the kids were cute and very talented.
I agree that it was more of a family movie than I had expected.
