  • Under the Tuscan Sun

I saw this last night with my aunt, and I'd definitely recommend it. I'm usually pretty lukewarm about chick-flicks, but I thought this one was better done than most--more sweet than sappy (although it was a bit sappy ) My aunt LOVED it.

And it's beautifully shot--will definitely make you want to visit Tuscany.

This was a chick flick but a good one. I studied abroad in Itay so I loved the scenery! I also really like Diane Lane.

And now for an entirely different opinion.....I HATED this movie! The scenery shots were wonderful as was Sandra Oh -- the only two redeeming points. Oh, and the eye candy Italian men. But that is it!

DH was really disappointed. I had been planning to watch this while he studied but didn't around to it. Had I done that, we would have had Bourne Supremacy (next on Netflix).

Yeah, I'd have to side with Nellie on this one. It just wasn't cohesive enough for me. For the record, I typically Loooove chick flicks.

I think that one of my problems with this movie is that I read the book. I know, I know, never expect the book and movie to be the same. But it was soooo different and I liked the book soooo much. Wonder what Frances Mayes thought of it?
