Well- it's nothing new-

Hugh Grant plays a heartless cad who meets a girl, does something stupid and finally grows up.

But he does it well so it's a cute little brain candy movie that you know pretty much from the beginning how it will end. There are some small differences in the formula this time but you don't watch a Hugh Grant movie to find the greater meaning of life, anyway.

I agree and it is a formula I have grown tired of. However, I did really like this movie even though I had read the book (I tend to prefer the book story to the movie one). Whenever I hear the "Killing Me Softly" song, I think of this movie and laugh.
