  • We get to go to a movie this weekend!

That's it. We don't get out much (the hubs is an intern) but we get to this weekend. I'm excited. I have no idea what we're going to see.

Same here! DH has a huge cardiology exam next Friday and he is bound and determined to win the student honors award for highest grade in this block (cardiology nerd that he is) so he is gunning for a 100. Since it's a 3 day weekend I asked if he could just do ONE thing: take me to a movie. He agreed and asked me to pick five I wanted to see and that we'd watch the trailers and decide on one together. What are y'all going to see?

I am not even sure what's out. Is the Ralph Fiennes/Charles Dickens film out? And I've heard good things about Her, though it sounds bizarre...

I ranked 5 for his review: American Hustle, The Wolf of Wall Street, August: Osage County, Her, Frozen. I'm 99% sure we'll see American Hustle.

I hadn't heard of August -- and now am adding it to my mental list of options.... yay!

When I can't decide on or think of a movie I'd like to see, I got to rottentomatoes.com and look at the left-hand side, which lists all of the newly released, currently in theaters, and soon-to-be released movies, their ratings (bonus points if they are "certified fresh!") and then watch the trailers for the ones I'm curious about.

American Hustle is a great date night movie. Very funny, but not just silly.

Isn't that always the way? I'm sorry. Hope you still enjoyed some time together.
