  • Return of the King (Lord of the Rings III)

While I was skimming the reviewed movies, I was surprised this one wasn't on the list!!!

All three of these movies are amazing...truly "epic" in every sense. The third and final movie of the trilogy, "Return of the King" ties up all storylines while fighting one last huge battle against Evil. All "Good" tribes, kingdoms, and animals/creatures must unite in order for this to happen.

If you are a fan of the books (and I AM!) the movies do not dissapoint despite the screenplay making some changes in the basic plot and number of characters. Visually it's fantastic...you are on the edge of your seat 80% of the movie!

If you can, see this one in the theatre...an IMAX or large screen would be best. It will be on video/DVD soon enough but you will lose some of the magic if you wait.

It's a great movie -- definitely worth the price of your seat!

I agree - wonderful movie. It's the only movie I've ever seen in the theater that I would pay to see in the theater a second time (vs. waiting until I can rent it).

      Flynn,

There is a review on it dated Jan 16. I took my teens to see it with me the day it came out and absolutely was thrilled by it.

Whoops! I guess I thought it came out later....sorry!
Glad you liked it and have it on your "must see" list! With so many terrible movies out there these days, it's nice to come out of a theatre and not be wondering what you were thinking!!!
