  • Kill Bill Vol 2

I'm guessing that if you saw the first one you're probably going to see the second one whether it's recommended or not, so I'm not sure how helpful a review is going to be in this case... At any rate, we saw the second part over the weekend and really enjoyed it. It's decidedly less violent than the first one, and really focuses much more on the characters and the story. The ending was a very satisfying conclusion to the story. They're not Quentin Tarantino's best movies (IMO), but they're pretty darned good.

I keep hearing Vol 2 is better than the first. I never saw it-- can I see #2 without it?

I wouldn't really recommend seeing Vol 2 without seeing Vol 1. There's a lot of history that gets explained in the second movie that seems like it wouldn't really make sense if you hadn't seen the first one. I don't know that I would say that the second was better than the first, it was ... different.
