Who has seen it?

Not my favorite Pixar overall, but really well done. I'd call it better than the incredibles but not toy story. The story is sweet and the animation is simply gorgeous. It wasn't riveting but definitely entertaining.

I don't want to say too much and spoil it, but there is a scene at the end that made my eyes spring leaks. My kids didn't have this reaction at ALL. adults who have a better understanding of their place between those -who-have- gone before and those-who-we-have-yet-to-meet may get a little leaky in the eyes. This scene makes this entire movie. I don't know why I wasn't prepared for the typical emotional wrenching of a Disney picture but it is there.

I really want to see it, but it will probably have to wait. I'm wary of taking the kids so soon after a family death.

I would wait, given the story line.
Of course, we already went, and loved it. Pixar, take my money and my ugly tears. 😆

We all loved it, but it's definitely weepy for the grownups. I could have done without the Frozen christmas short.

[MENTION=1090]alison[/MENTION], I haven't seen it, but based on the trailers, my first thought was that M might want to avoid this one. But my second thought was that it might be good for her to see the way the Day of the Dead images are used culturally -- not to scare, but to connect with ancestors? Maybe even just the trailer would be kind of desensitizing?

The frozen short! Pure agony!

I liked the movie and the animation was amazing. But I’m not sure it’s a good film for sensitive kids or young kids. I know the whole skeleton thing is very scary to a lot of kids- mine were freaked out by most skeletons until late elementary school.

We haven’t seen it yet. Disney announced that they’re removing the Olaf short this week - I guess a bunch of people didn’t like it. This is the first Disney movie in a long time that we haven’t rushed out to see, but I don’t know if my eight year old will do well, as she’s incredibly sensitive.

Don’t know why this topic is just barely popping up in my feed but we loved it. Saw it in the theaters and bought it when we came out. Our 4 year old had questions which we answered but we enjoyed it overall
