Anyone seen it? We are not even close to a current theater showing it, but would like to see it when it is around. Just wanted to know if it was close to Nemo and was kid appropriate. Thanks!

Laugh out loud funny! We saw it whilst sitting in Business Class on our trip to Frankfurt (my job does have it's perks!) and we were the only people who were watching it, as evidenced by the looks we got as we were laughing out loud at some of the funnier parts. Much like the Simpsons, there are differing "levels" of humor- the kids will get it at one level and the grown-ups at another. We really enjoyed it!

Matt, I know we saw it...I just...can't remember a thing about it Is it mommy brain, early alzheimers, the fact that I had to walk out with Aidan at least 10 times? I don't know. I guess the good news is that when it comes out on video it will be like watching it for the first time. 8)

We rented this last night. It was pretty funny, there are a few parts that make it worth the PG rating- some talking of murder(as Robert De Niro's character is "the Godfather" shark) but there is never any real brutality. Jack Black's character (Lenny-the vegetarian shark) is funny, and of course his father (De Niro) can't figure out what is wrong with him. It actually has a pretty good lesson about telling lies and acceptance geared for the younger viewers. At least our five year old was able to recognize that Oscar (Will Smith- the main character) was telling a lie and he needed to tell the truth, among other things.
There are lots of big names as the voices, and there are many jokes that are aimed to the older viewer, just a little hidden into the movie. I don't think it was as funny as the Shrek movies, but I like Mike Myers comedic style.

It is worth the time to watch, and fun for the whole family. It got five thumbs up in our house.
