Based on Che Guevara and Alberto Granado's writings, this film follows the pair on their travels throughout South America in the early 1950s. As they get farther from Buenos Aires, Guevara becomes aware of the injustices in the world and starts feeling the need to do something about it.
I think regardless of how you feel about Che's politics, this movie is worth watching. It's entertaining because it's basically two med school buddies on a road trip. It's beautifully shot and really captures the feel of the different countries they visit. It's also very moving and thought-provoking, especially in the scenes at the Leper Colony.
I highly recommend it.
