  • Meet the Fockers

This is the sequel to the Ben Stiller movie "Meet the Parents". It has all of the main characters from the original movie, plus Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman as Ben Stiller's parents. While we didn't think it was nearly as funny as the first one, it was still good in its own way and the veteran actors were great to watch. I thought Barbra Streisand, in particular, did a great job in her role as a hippie sex therapist. It was an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours, so in that respect I would recommend it.

I liked this one quite a bit. I thought it was very funny. Streisand and Hoffman were great in it. At first I couldn't picture Streisand in a role like this, but she was really funny. DH liked this one better than the first, and I thought they were both fun. I've heard a few rumors that the third will be called something like "Little Focker".

We saw this movie this weekend, WITHOUT the kids!!! It was pretty funny, the big name actors were very funny. I was surprised, as was DW, at how bristled I got when they were meeting and talking about professions at the dinner table. Then Deniro's character made the comment about Hoffman's character being unemployed (he was a SAHD) while Streisand's character was the bread-winner...very belittlingly(? is that a word?!)

It was an enjoyable movie and would suggest it for a fun night out.
