It's got a good cast, and the movie is fair. It's somewhat like a girl version of Dead Poet's Society, but not nearly as good. I liked the plot of a teacher inspiring college girls in the 50's to pursue their dreams, but at the end of the movie I didn't really feel like she'd done anything that noteworthy. I got it during my free trial period of Netflix (which rocks by the way!), so I didn't feel like I'd wasted 2 hours of my life watching it.

I agree with you Sue! This movie was ... ok. The central plot of Julia Roberts' character inspiring her students to pursue their dreams was interesting and inspiring, but somehow the movie was lacking. My MIL owns it so I was glad that I didn't pay $$$ to see it, but it was an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

I saw it on an airplane (guess where all the movies that go nowhere in the theatres end up?) and I agree with the above assessments- it had a lot of potential but not enough oomph.

I'm glad I saw it for the cost of your tax dollars sending me to work!
