  • The Legend of Zu

VERY good Chinese cinema (English subtitles). Some of the storyline is definitely lost in the translation, but the special effects are so cool it kind of makes up for that. Still, if you know anyone who speaks Mandarin, have them watch the movie with you. It is so great! It reminds me of an adult version of all the super-hero stories we have in the West (think comic books) but from a Chinese perspective. I definitely recommend it!

Oh, to live in a town where you can actually get foreign films. I think the local blockbuster has about 20. Not counting the section in Spanish but they are rarely subtitled.

I'll look for it though- I love foreign films. (and Rick is leaving for a week in April to go visit his family!)
